I think we can unanimously agree that Borderlands really got co-op right. It's so much fun to play with friends, especially since you get better loot, more loot, and you have to fight stronger/more enemies. But competitive multiplayer is arguably lacking. Sure, you can duel and enter arenas, but what if there was team- and map-based competitive multiplayer? An interesting thought—matches would be organized around a certain level range (e.g. only players between the levels of 45-50 could join this match), and everyone would start with no weapons. need some backup

Hey guys, my PSN is Skulljack and I'm needing some help on the Moxxi DLC. My character is a level 46 hunter, and I don't care who I play with, but I'd prefer a soldier or berserker. Also, I don't want to play with some lootwhore or anything, I want to play some fun co op (more players=harder=more fun). I'd also like to play with someone who has a mic, since I have one.

Single Player

 I have yet to play the game with anyone else. 

I was waiting for a friend to buy it  before I started over with anew character so I can have a balanced team.

 

Because of this I my gamercard says that by level 27, I had more than 8x as many kills/weapons than the people on my friendlist who play in 2-4 person teams. These people are <10 levels away from me also.

Do you share all experience gained from team play? (i.e.-missions, all kills, etc..)

i am pretty that every gameplay, footage and whatever we have seen were 4 players coop. every player had a different character, but is it possible to have something like four Brick in a game??

Co-Op Play

Im going to be playing split-screen with my brother on the xbox360 and I was just wondering,

What if I play as Roland and my bro plays as Mordicei, will Brick and Lilith be AIs in the game or will they just not be there?

If im playing solo will there be any of the main characters there to back me up or will i have to find other characters in the game to help me, OR just do it all by myself?

Borderlands Developer On Multiplayer, Splitscreen And Soundtrack

Ennui, a Gearbox employee, made some posts today on the company's forums. Not too much fresh info here but with the dearth of news on Borderlands its nice to get assurances that they are still working hard on the game.

Borderlands is also focusing on making the 4-player cooperative play the best it possibly can. We are making that experience one of the centerpieces of the game. We haven't made any mention of other possibilities for multiplayer at this point - right now what we've told everyone is that we're making a GREAT FPS game with RPG elements that you can play with your friends.
