Gamespot posted its review of B'lands today and rung up the shooter at 8.5/10.

Pros: Satisfying gunplay, tons of weapons, shields, and helpful items, four unique and equally fun-to-play characters, distinct, appealing artistic style and great system of rewards.

One minor lament from the reviewer is the lack of an in-game exchange system. "Unfortunately, dropping items is also the only way you can give them to your teammates, and there's no way to exchange ammo or money." Read more »

Borderlands Reviews: Kotaku, Just Push Start, Playstation University

Some lucky game journalists already got their shot with Borderlands and the reviews are trickling in. Below we have a couple that are worth a read and one that made us go "Huh?"

First up Kotaku. Review Michael McWhertor says he loved the co-op play, the rewards, and the the bazillions of guns. He also notes that the system to keep track of all those weapons works smoothly: "For the most part, it's easy to understand why one shotgun or shield is better than another."

Complaints? He's got a few. McWhertor says parts of the game can be a bit of a grind and the AI is none to bright. Read more »
