Borderlands competitive multiplayer ideas.

I think we can unanimously agree that Borderlands really got co-op right. It's so much fun to play with friends, especially since you get better loot, more loot, and you have to fight stronger/more enemies. But competitive multiplayer is arguably lacking. Sure, you can duel and enter arenas, but what if there was team- and map-based competitive multiplayer? An interesting thought—matches would be organized around a certain level range (e.g. only players between the levels of 45-50 could join this match), and everyone would start with no weapons. Thoughts on co-op restrictions and demo relevancy

This is my first post, but I've done my fair share of research and spent a lot of time on this site in particular. I've noticed that many sources who have gotten their hands on a demo of Borderlands seem to say things about it that contradict the info of others. Im wondering if some of you might be willing to post accounts of those who have had the privilege of playing a final(or as close to final as can be) version of the game for the purpose of collecting the most accurate pre-game info.
