It looks like a bad*** but its all bark. In this game you need bark to bak your bite...or the bandits bite your head OFF.
Dont quote me on this, but I THINK the dmg. is for individual bullets. So if multiple bb's hit one enemy, its that number time how many bb's hit, and where they hit. Never the less, its a low level wepon either way.

actually for shotguns the base damage is multiplied by another number, probably for each bullet. if you watch that e3 2008 gameplay demo, you can see the damage swiches with a x10 or x8. so high damage, bad accuracy, low rate of fire and a scope, i dont think its worth it
