20 min SpiderAnt fight!

Hoooooly crap... I just got back from a literal 15-20 min spiderant FRENZY.
I had just gotten to I beleive Rust Commons West, and decided to go farm a bit. So I got in a rider and rolled my way down the righthand side as soon as you enter and saw a red weapon chest behind one of the gun towers, so I decided to stop. Well as soon as I opened it 2 spiderants jumped me and I started firing. I turn around, and there's like 5 more. "No problem," I thought. "I've dealt with worse," so I just tried to fight em off. Well, soon enough I figured out that I was right in the middle of a whole cluster of spiderant nests... and what ensued was INSANE. Wave after wave after wave of spiderants. I always had at least 4 little ones snapping at my feet while I tried to fight off prolly a dozen other stronger ones, like 2 kings, 2 queens, and at least 1 BadMutha all at once. After about 10 minutes I started to get fed up, I was literally yelling at my screen "No more, damn it! I don't want any more, I'M just F**KING looting here! I just want this ONE WEAPON CASE!!!"
Well, after at least 20 frustrating minutes, they finally stopped spawning. I went back to the weapon case and found a crappy rifle and.... a 1200 shield with strong corrosive resistance and a good recharge. WHEW, MAAAN.... what a RUSH, seriously. But yeah, I'm uploading the pics of what was left (keeping in mind a bunch of the older corpses are prolly already gone).
I did this all with just my sniper rifle, bloodwing, and bouncing betty grenades.

yeah
it's playthru 2. Just turned lvl47 during that battle, lol. I especially hate the Rakks in playthru 2. the first time around they're like nothing, an annoyance at best... but the second time they're much stronger, there's more of them attacking you at once, and they just bombard you over and over. I love it tho, keeps things interresting. :)

Know the feeling
I'm on my first playthru and it took me over 30 minutes to solo Mothrakk. What a pain.
As for the spiderants, I love me dem health nades!!

i love that spot, i sat there
i love that spot, i sat there and got 5 of my challenges done by farming that one area, critical hits one, killing spree one, kill 10,000 eniemies one, kills with shotguns, and of course the spiderant one, all from just farming that area...the best way to do it is with a good shotgun, one with high damage, fast rate of fire, and at least 12 shots... oh and btw, there are 2 red gun chest there, one behind the green tent and the other one is behind the tower

lol i remember when it happened to me i was with 3 other lvl 50's on second playthrough and they wouldnt stop coming i called it the great spiderant war :P

Hey, where exactly is this spot? RC-West for sure? I've been driving all up and down the sides of the map and haven't hit it yet. On playthrough 2 if that matters.

ive been in that place
on the first play through anyway just for the heck of it... im pretty sure its in the top left area of the map (where ever this place is RC west or east) and theres this giant rock that you can walk around with little spiderant hives all around it.... pretty fun place to mess around with weapons like the Dove that has the red caption "sometimes i forget to reload..." when you are Roland with points in the skill that increase fire rate and kick reduction per kill... man its awesome... its like an SMG... should try it out =)

Found it, thanks. Couldn't get it to drag on for 20 minutes but I was using a pretty heavy shotgun and had the bloodwing doing a lot of damage.
in the first playthrough they make it easy for you but on the second one almost unbelievable waves of enemies
