I don’t know how many of you have been following Gearbox’s other project, Aliens: Colonial Marines. To those that are: good news!
A lack of news on the title prompted speculation that the game was nixed. Not so says Gearbox. They’re just too busy working on Borderlands.
A rep for Gearbox echoed Pitchford's comments, saying the reason Aliens Colonial Marines had dropped from view was that the studio was focused on development and promotion of Borderlands, due out this fall. via Gamespot

I collected Darkhorses Alien
I collected Darkhorses Alien titled miniseries in the early 90's, still have 3 copies of each issue, big fan of the series, not nerd enough to buy figures // statuettes though. I'll buy an aliens game if it isn't an adaptation of a recently released movie, because movie adapts usually blow hard. The Amiga system had something called Alien Breed which was incredibly fun.

Not only is The Aliens game still in existance, but they are putting primary focus on Borderlands!
