Anyone Else been disapppointed with the Boss L00t drops so far ?

So Myself and my mate ( Playing Split Screen Soldier and Siren both lvl 34 now) killed the Rakk Hive ( Easy) and then Baron Flynt (not so easy) last night and have been very disappointed by the l00t drops from bosses ...or lack of them.
We got nothing ( not even a blue) from the Rakk Hive and the Crappy Boomstick from Flynt
I'm a consumate explorer, have to go everywhere see everything, loot everything so I'm finding plenty of major loot all around the world...just none of it from the bosses in the game
I do not think this bodes well for the vault...
Bloody love the game though = )

Considering you are only on
Considering you are only on your first playthrough, of course the weapons dropped from many bosses will be total shit. However the playthrough 2 loot drops are much more rewarding and though you still get the same weapons from quests and main bosses with signature weapons, even those weapons are significantly upgraded with higher stats or an additional elemental attribute(the weapon called "The Spy" had a x3 explosive effect in this mode where in playthrough 2 it had no element).

But even so
Yeah I'm aware that the loot takes a jump on the second playthrough and we're really looking forward to finishing and starting again = )
But, given that I have had some uber loot from chests including my current favourite Lvl 22 CR with 136 Dam, 96.7 Acc and a Fire rate of 15 (Desert Stomper) I don't understand how this kinda loot doesn't drop off bosses.
That current rifle I've been using for 10 lvl's and will not be replacing anytime soon based on the fact that it'll need to be a lvl 40+ weapon to have a chance of being better (if I am to trust the Gunpedia)
It's just ...you know ... you have n epic battle against a 20 or 30ft tall Behemoth ... you kinda expect it to crap an UBERgun outta it's behind when it dies
.....Or am I just being greedy ?

Yeah, beat the game twice and
Yeah, beat the game twice and the only worthwile boss loot that I've ever gotten was Krom's Sidearm. After I beat the game a second time I went back and killed Krom again for a level 48 version of it, and it's holding up beautifully. Totally outclasses other boss loots and a lot of epic and legendary drops that I've found.

Me and my friends did pracitcally the whole game together in co-op. We are level 50s. We just beat the second playthrough. ALL our best weapons came from random weapon chests or vending machines.
The first playthrough, when we killed the final boss, it dropped us 2 really shitty white weapons.
Second playthrough, after killing the final boss, we got a bunch of shitty greens.
Should the very, very end of the game boss drop weapons that at least come close to being useful to us?
