Ummm, this title may cause some confusion. I don't mean PvP, mean something like Horde from Gears of War, or the Crucible from Fable 2. I don't think I need to elaborate any more. But it would be awesome for replayability. Just go to it in-game, fight away, results are saved online! It would be another way for people to compare each other. What do you think?

Hopefully Borderlands won't
Hopefully Borderlands won't need anything to up it's replay value, considering it has a system that randomly generates items, enemies, and environments <.<
But if we REALLY need an Arena, make it have some nice loot drops for people that can clear it in a timely manner.

its not that its a bad idea, its just that its kind of uneccessary to have this seeing as how this game's replay value will already be epic
also, if it means development time will be longer, im gonna have say HEEEEELL NO. Ive waited to long already lol

Agreed. Too many added features leads to a project that feels slipshod and unfinished.
The dueling sounds half-ass enough.. I don't want to see a whole new arena setup that is just as awkward, heh..
Just give me the dungeon clearing boss killing goodness that made Diablo such an epic game.

What you guys are saying is wrong,
I read that the arena is somewhere you can co and ONLY fight agains your friends and nothing else for no EXP. there will be extra guns and equipment downthere to balence the fight out.

No. You can initiate an unbalanced match at anytime, or you can go to an arena in town and "neutralize the [level] differences" to make a more even playing field.

I believe that you misunderstand me. I didn't mean a place to fight your friends, I meant a place where you and a friend can cooperatively fight waves of enemies.
When I read this, I thought you meant pvp, and my mind finished the sentence by adding "is a terrible idea."
But anyways, just give me an extra-hard difficulty mode with better drops, then instead of online rankings I get to go "See this rifle? Yeah, I got it from killing the level 99999999999999 Endboss on Extra Hard, alone."
