Arid Hills Bridge- unreachable loot- over looked flaw?

Loving the game so far, but there is one thing that is really starting to ruin the experience for me, and that is unreachable loot. Up until now its all been white loot but on my first trek into Arid Hills, one of the bandits on top of the first bridge you come across (not sure if there are others in this zone) dropped a blue grenade upgrade that never dropped down, its still up on the bridge. Is there a way to get up there? It appears like you should at one spot along the side of the cliff, but the boxes there are not high enough to make the jump to the platform that leads up to the bridge. In a game so heavily based on loot, you would expect there to be some sort of "summon loot" feature. So much of the fun comes from getting those rare drops, it what keeps you heading out. But now it just feels like a missed opportunity for me and is killing the fun. I must have wasted a good hour now trying to get this item. any help getting up there or confirmation if i even can or can not, would be much appreciated. thanks

For guys u know are in hard
For guys u know are in hard to reach areas, just head shot them and 8 times out of 10 they will fly back off of there perch and make the loot reachable

well just happened again,

well just happened again, this time on one of those half bridges with a green item but its a sniper rifle and im a hunter. Hating this zone because of all the unreachable areas. Hope this is one of the only zones like this, really starting to dampen my fun. Very frustrating.

Im surprised this issue never came up during the testing/ feedback stages of development. Really could have used a feature to draw loot to you. Easily could have been tied to the echo system and could have worked so if you can scope/ view the loot enough to see what type of loot it was, you could summon it with Xbutton.

maybe i just need to get out of this area.

There are also a few

There are also a few boss/special mobs that you kill in the air that have the potential to drop loots on unreachable mountains and stuff. But really dont stress about it too much...almost all of the best gear you get you get out of chests so really missing out on a green will not effect your massive killing spree.  If this were in end game lvls i could see it being a prob but since its just in Arid hills it not realy that bad.

ya good point. Just cleared

ya good point.

Just cleared Sledges hide out, could care less about those other items now. Just frustrating at the time, at least i know going forward not to stress too much about it, always better loot around the corner.

Yeah I had the same problem

Yeah I had the same problem and it was pretty annoying for a little while, good thing is that there are very few of those places in the game (so far). And I agree with DFAZaNDRIC, there aren't that many different grenade mods and they are fairly common loot so you probably wouldn't miss it.

That bridge just taunts me...

I agree, there should be a way up there, especially if the bandits can get up there. I likewise don't like the taunting ramps in the Skag Gully, which're only suspended by a single cable which could be easily shot/exploded/sliced/melted, thus dropping the ramp. At the very least once you get up there, you think you'd find a switch to lower it for the future.

But yeah, clipping, usually with headshots, those sniping bandits on the platform and not being able to reach their loot is annoying. I've done that very thing, multiple times with multiple characters, and have only seen their loot drop once, possibly twice. It makes sense that you can't reach everything, in reality, but this is a video game and being able to figure out how to get on that platform should be a type of puzzle. And then think how much fun it'd be to sneak up there, and then go back and forth up there sniping those bandits around that nearby building. Probably a little more fun than clipping those many nearby skags from that stone bridge up at Moe & Marley's area, since those bandits can give some challenge in shooting back.

I was hoping that by jumping up right under the loot you'd be able to snag it, but it doesn't even show them from below.

Ah well, of course, as always, I blame Bush.

If you ever have trouble

If you ever have trouble reaching something again, maybe you can drop me a line (XBL: Gibs O Matic) and I could fetch it for you. As an avid glitcher, I always like to get to parts of the game they don't want me to get to.

broken stairs lead to bridge

I was wondering if you can make that jump to reach that bridge in Arid Hills?   I assume not but it looks like the developers may of intended you to get there.
