is it just mean or do AR's seem to be the least varied in the game i have not found one that has some crazy ass effect except maybe regenerating ammo
it seems if you have a soldier and specialize in AR's you dont get much variety
if anyone can proove me wrong on this PLZ do

I agree with this also. I have one of those +2 find rare item mods on my siren, and i have beaten the second plythrough, so i get a fair amount of different legendaries (i get one almost every time i check New Haven). I also feel that, although i see white and green AR's dropped by the crimson lance all the time, they they are the least common weapon i find at blue, purple or gold. I have found 4 different types of legendary AR's, and only 1 does something cool. There are the Torgue Bastard strait machine guns, that are just like their regular ones that do way more damage "Bastard Guns for bastard people". There are the ones, i think from Vladoff, the Revolution series "Guns of the Revolution shall never fall silent" which just seem to have extra large clips, and the other machine gun type (i think from Dahl, but not sure on either of these last two without having my game on) that just has ammo regen, "Never stop shooting" i think it says. Then there are the hyperion destructors. "The destructor has come!" These baby's are my favorite of the gold type AR's. These are combat rifles, the kind that do three round bursts. But this one has good damage, and fires it's entire 18 round clip in one fast burst when scoped. It has 96. accuracy and good recoil reduction, so if you can get a good bead on an enemies head, you can score like 10 headshots per clip!
Slill lookig for something better though, and i really hope thats not all the types...

Wiki- very small spoilers
Hey all
If anyone is interested, i have attached a link below, to the weapons section of the borderlands wiki. This section i have linked to contains all the currently found 'special texts' and there meaning, for all guns. Hope it helps. And just a quick note, sorry to say but there are very few wacky effects, and most are to do with ammo capacity, zoom, and burst fire.

Hard times for a soldier,
I'm playing as Roland at lvl 30, and i don't find any interesting combat rifles either. My best one is a Hyperion that have 114 dmg, 96ac and 15.0 standard semi burst. Other than that it's nothing special. But it would be nice to find one with decent elemetal dmg:P

yeah the best one i have
yeah the best one i have found does 394 i cant remember the other stats but its a 3 round semi auto purple dont get me wrong it rapes but i am a lvl 50 and i have atleast put ten hours in end game looting and i figured by now i would have found something with a 140x4 damage with a sgotgun effect or SOMETHING it just saddens me seems like soldiers drew the short straw :[
I agree I havn't really seen any beastly ones plus the 3 round burst ones are a waste, and what's with the slow effin reloading.
