Best build for Morecai
Here is the build that I've put together so far, I think it works best for this character:
http://talent.87bazillion.com/hunter.php?550550500000005055005
Here is my reasoning:
Sniper tree:
1) Accuracy or damage? Both! Damage, because its always good to deal out extra damage, coupled with better criticals makes you a killing machine. Accuracy, some might argue that this is an FPS game and accuracy depends on one's aiming skills, but try to make a head shot from faraway, while the enemy is moving and your sight is swaying up and down? At medium range it's no big deal, but you get futher and its damn near impossible! Good snipers get my point!
2) Smirk or Killer? Smirk is just a waste of points, there is so much exp to go around that having additional exp from each critical does not make any sense, just kill some more enemies! Killer, on the other hand, is amazing, reload time with sniper rifles is an issue and shaving off 30% of the reload time helps (not only on SR, on all the weapons!!!); add 40% damage boost? THANK YOU!
3) This Tier I will not discuss, I chose loaded, because I wanted to get to the final perk and extended clip vs bloodwing cooldown? The more ammo, the better, that's what I think!!!
4) Trespass! Half (sometimes more) of the enemy's toughness is the shield, if you can hit beyond the shield 100% of the time, what more do you need???? You practically halved the healthbar of your enemy!
Rogue:
1) I say screw the bird, I like to kill enemies, and no bird will do it better!
2) Fast hands, in the second tier is a good perk, but sacrificing 10 points is not worth it, besides you have the Killer perk, which gives you the reload time bonus and adds damage!
Gunslinger:
1) Deadly vs Gun Crazy? Do I need to explain? Ok, I do - deal CRAZY DAMAGE or burst out 2 bullets from your pistol? You make the choice!
2) Leathal Strike and Riotous Remedy are both very good perks, here is why. Some times you get too carried away by sniping and some crazy #%$&er attacks from behind, what do you do? Switch to your sidearm, lose a couple of vital seconds, aim, shoot, miss? NO, you whip out the knife with 50% melee damage boost, 35% chance for a leathal blow and cut that #%$&er up! Riotous Remedy - kill people, stay healthy, what more can I say?
3) Because we improved 2 perks in one tire, no need to spend points on Birds and Pistols!
4) Relentless - just another addition to make you a Lean Mean Killing Machine!
What do you think?
PLEASE POST!
You mean close range? The strategy is always to waste the strongest first with the sniper rifle and then what ever happens happens. If the enemies are far away, snipe until they get close, after that any rifle/shotgun that you have will do. The beauty of the hunter stats is that only Caliber, Loaded and Trespass are sniper specific, the rest apply to all the weapons!
No particular preference for any guns- that's okay. Yeah, you've got sutff that will work almost any other guns you get, so it should be okay.
There's really nothing left except for you to play and put the build to the test.

I see your build is oriented towards using the bloodwing a lot, but then the predator perk is a must! Also in the Sniper category, you've used the smirk perk, in my opinion it is useless, you can shoose the tresspass instead. Check out this setup:

Your aiming will be not as good because of the sway, but you will be more of a midranged fighter anyway, because the bloodwing does not hit the enemies that are too far away!
will not using a bloodwing be a big downfall? It seems as if its not THAT usefull, just helps.
That is my exact build, fuck bloodwing, guns is where it is at.
I am at level 30 now, I've been sticking to the plan and it works just fine. First I upgraded Deadly, then focus, then Killer, Caliber and Trespass. I have not had any trouble killing people!
You guys all say forget bloodwing but let me tell you that once you make it through playthrough 1 with your guns only strategey you are gonna be screwed. Bloodwing is highly helpful and saves your behind more then once through out the story line. Besides where else can you get more cash better looot and more exp so quick cause a bloodwing that is setup correctly can attack 6 enemies and everytime it hits steals more cash from them and if you kill the person even more cash and loot. For example on playthrough 2 i used my bird and smg up close in a battle with about 16 infantry at the end my loot was 6 level 5 artifacts, 4 class mods and 2 orange weapons. So agan anyone that thinks the bird is gonna be useless think again.

Sniper:
i dont know if u can see the buils but i think the best is:
1 max. Focus and Caliber
2 dont do nothig
3 max. Loaded
4 max. Trespass
Rogue:
1 max. Swift Strike
2 max. Fast Hands and Out For Blood
3 nothing
4 max. Bird Of Prei
Gunslinger:
1 max. Deadly
2 max. Riotous Remedy
3 max. Predator
4 Relentess or Killer
I think its a very 50/50 build because:
The sniper and the other guns traspass the enemy armor , the critical its strong and the sniper has extra bullets.
Bloodwing does more damage to more enemies gives you health after attacking some body and gives you 2 fast reload
Gives you health for killing enemies (very good with Bloodwing abillitie),more critical damage(super good for sniper),Bloodwing cooldown reduced(from 28sec to 13sec) and some suporte from other abillitie like Killer lvl1,Relentless lvl1,Carrion Call lvl1 or Gun Crazy lvl1.
I hope i helpend

Solid build, sir. There's not much to say, since your build is the way to go for your particular preferences.
I know you clearly intend to make all your fights long-ranged ones as much as possible, but what other kinds of guns do you intend to use? Just in case things don't go according to the plan (and they often don't). One strength of your build is that it doesn't force you to use pistols for times when you're not sniping.
