Borderlands Guide IRC Chat

Hey guys,

I setup a IRC channel for all of us to get toggther and rave over Borderlands. For those who are fimilar with IRC the channel is

irc.gamesurge.net

#BLGuide

For those who have not used IRC or need some help. Heres a quick guide.

1. First goto http://www.mirc.com/ and download mIRC and install it (I know there is other clients you can use but this is the one I am most fimilar with)

2. Open mIRC and it should show up with mIRC Options window asking for info. Just put whatever you want in the Full Name and E-Mail Address. Then put in a Nickname you want to be displayed as.

3. Now on the left hand side of that window click on Servers and the gamesurge server should be in the IRC servers list. Double click on it.

If it isnt there press the Add button and the Add server window will open up. Put in some description and in the IRC Server box put in irc.gamesurge.net dont worry about the port, group, or password boxes. Hit Add then double click on gamesurge in the list.

4. Hit ok then hit the lighting bolt in the upper left hand corner.  It will start to connect.  Once you see -Global- ---------- END OF MESSAGE(S) OF THE DAY ---------- type in the box below that /join #BLGuide and your in.

I will do my best to be on the channel to mointor it. If admins want permissions for kick/ban or whatever just contact me threw e-mail on here and I will get you all setup.
