Difference Between Shredder and Scattergun

ignore the title of this thread, its only meant to attract attention. anyways, does anybody know the difference between a scattergun and a shredder, cuz i don't. P.S i don't actually think that borderlands sucks, i think it's even better than modern warfare 2.

It could be any number of

It could be any number of un-seen things such as one has a better chance of having higher accuracy or atk or rate of fire. It could also have a difference in the reload speed or something like that.

Shredder

 Shredder usually has higher attack but slower fire rate and/or smaller clip size.
