Cant get into multiplayer

hey everyone.

my friend invited me to a game but it doesnt do anything when i accept it.  i didnt start a new character yet if it helps.  is it because i had to do at least one mission or is it something different.

Yeah it happens, try to go back to the menu and restart your play or disconnect and reconnect your XBoxLive account...
