Everything I've seen from this game looks ridiculously hard and unfun. The death penalty system sounds like horseshit. There's a lot of cool ideas in the game, though. I like the idea of leaving messages for others and the bloodstains.

IT IS SO FREAkIN HARD
but it is kinda cool and gives you a felling of sucess when you finally dominate the Phalanx boss

Looks insane. Can't wait to see a game by FROM that's not Amored Core, lol. (AC's still a great series though.)
@OneKillWonder: The Death penalty system sounds crazy, and I think you need to pick up some Armored Core titles so you can grow a pair and get used to FROM's love for frustrating dificulty lol. No offense though, I can understand not liking painful dificulty like this, but I think it's a shitty reason to dislike an entire game. (and remember some people DO consider dificulty fun.)

I haven't even played the game, so I can't say for sure if I don't like it. I do like a challenge. What I don't like are games that are so pointlessly difficult and cheap that it sucks the fun right out of them. Definitely not a shitty reason to not like a game. Ninja Gaiden 2 is a great example. I had a very hard time trying to have any fun with it because of how frustrating and cheap it was. There's a big difference between a game that is legitimately hard and one that is just plain unfair. Like I said, I have yet to play Demon's Souls, so I can't comment one which one this is, but from what I've seen it doesn't look fun to me.
And I have played several of the older Armored Core games. I generally don't find the series to be that enjoyable apart from the customization. The most recent FROM Software game I've played is Ninja Blade, which is some great fun, but also not all that hard.

@OneKillWonder: There is a bit of a penalty from dying from what I hear, but all I heard was that you loose souls from dying which is currency which is about on par with borderland's death penalty. Its remadied too by the fact that other online players leave blood trails that can lead you out of harms way and that there is co-op. I am getting this for christmas for sure, I loved playing it at my friends house :D
Saw this game online, looks badass but my heart belongs to Borderlands at the moment XD
