Ending was a let-down (warning,spoiler)
So the point of the game is to kill a monster and get 200,000 dollars for a useless (at the moment) key? I just expected more.
Ya I was so hoping for a stash of loot.
But no, I get to kill a boss that drops a few pieces of garbage.
Come on, what in the world... that's not a vault, that's a portal or some stupid RRRRRAAG
Like Rockability Rocket said, there are many nods that the Vault isn't wat you think it is like the planet being called pandora and all with the vault being the "box" which releases evil and stuff. I really am getting sick and tired of everyone saying that the game sucked because of the ending, remember that Randy didn't make the game to have a deep and engrossing story so they can keep the flow of the action at an all time high, so why shouldn't the ending follow the same trend?
if you mean by the story following the trend of not being deep but action packed? Then your still wrong. There wasn't much action packed story. I said a few times " there should be some cutscenes here and there, not just a short clip for the bosses.
Thinking back from the beginning of the game where Marcus says you get Fame, Fortune, and ... Women, I am kinda dissapointed lol. But it is wat it is.
i didnt really like it i liked the resistence 2 ending more than this one some ps3 users will know what i mean i wont say what happens so i dont spoil another game for you guys
I actually like the Greek mythology / Lovecraft twist. The disappointment for me was that they didn't make it deeper because it had so much potential.
Yes, Randy wasn't going to let the story be too deep and get in the way of the action, but making it a bit more well-written and complex could still have been done without harming the game.
- Steele could have escaped, further fuelling the theory that she was the Siren Lilith was looking for.
- Tannis could have reappeared and be revealed as a mind-controlled pawn of the Destroyer. She was going crazy looking for the Vault, after all. And remember how almost everyone in New Haven keeps warning you not to trust her?
- Where's Yujinny? Where's the man Roland swore to kill? Where's Brick's sister?
Lastly: I slew the Destroyer and all I got was a green, level 25 sniper rifle. :-| On the other hand, my Mordecai said the right thing: "Another trophy for my wall." XD
you're right where is the background forall of the characters its like they just wanted to be on pandora for no reason they didnt tell us why they went there
a horrible ending to a great game... i really didnt care if i got some stash of weapons or anything i just wanted a better ending... i mean it didnt even seem like an ending just seemed like another boss.
The boss was literally like the easiest boss ive fought.... i stood in front of him and used my SMG that has a speed of 15.7 and 38 x 4 damage with a 148 clip and killed the bitch in under a minute... i mean come on... what was that? maybe they could have had it be a two part boss or something....
On the other hand with this ending.... the only thing i liked was the twist that the "guardian angel" was actually a satellite and it all started making sense that she couldnt talk to you when the ECHO was down and the CLAPTRAPs and stuff but it might have made more sense if you started seeing her when you got the "display module" that shows your health and stuff you know?
Now with the next game (as i hope there will be a sequel) maybe they can have a much better plot where you actually GO into the portal or something. something else they could do would be to make all the characters be under your control, like you chose the one you want to be BUT the other 3 fight with you, you get to equip their gear, and you actually get to know the characters and there are cutscenes here and there like Crazeegamer said. and maybe actually finish the background stuff with each character like Messenger said and have the person Rolands looking for be a boss and you have to fight through a big place to get Bricks sister or something... anyway those were just a few ideas i felt like saying lol sorry if i was rambling
I kinda agree jacob. or instead of controlling them all, at least have the story of the character your playing in the game.

You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your f**king khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.
