A Few Questions

I'm new to the Borderlands forum, but I have some experience with the game. I've been farming the Dev's chests enough to have a few million. I'm on my second playthrough, level 40. I have some problems though.
1. The bosses get hard at times and I spend around a million on death fees.
2. My weapons are getting weaker than the enemies I'm facing and I am not getting better ones.
3. Where can I find Pearlescent weapons? I would like a few as collectors items.

1 : You need to build your character properly, so get as soon as you can more health and shields with your skills as well as Skill that can increase your weapons damages. Look for Great shields, useful ones like Health regen, High capacity, Health boost, etc... Look for Class Mod that can give you health regen or ammo regen as well.
2 : It isn't easy to find great weapon til you reach your max level, just check all vending machine, red chests and eventually farm some Boss weapons.
3 Cyans can only be found in the Knoxx DLC. BadAss Lance, Drifters, Crawmerax and Lance Chest are where you'll find them. Though they are VERY RARE ! So just don't expect to find one everyday it's more like 2/3 per week if you farm everyday....
