I live in Montreal, which is known for its gaming companies and influences (Ubisoft Montreal made Assassin's Creed and EA Games is here)

Today I finally got my Borderlands copy preordered (thanks to my loving girlfriend who paid for it as a birthday gift) and I decided to ask the clerk some a simple but relevent question:

"How many pre-orders have you guys had?"

She said about 50, which is really high for a game that doesn't even have reviews yet. She said that the game was getting hype at the store too, and the clerks themselves talk about it. This is good news because for us online users, it gives a good consumer base and people to ACTUALLY PLAY WITH. So far so good fellas, keep the pre-orders coming!

WOOT!

Glad to hear it Necrogen.  It's good to see BL getting a little rep...but not too much, which is also good.

i haven't decided if i want

i haven't decided if i want to pre order or not. because i only get one more paycheck before the game comes out and i also want uncharted 2 and operation flashpoint so i think i may just do some hard cash for the game over the counter instead of pre ordering it. but rest assured (for people who care) i am buying this day of if i don't pre order.

from what i know

the preorder is worth it because instead of starting with NOTHING, you pretty much start with a descent gun of every type as a bonus (good for us Mordecai players who need a good start sniper)

also, I'm starting to think they might run out of actual COPIES here in Montreal, because after reviews start kicking in, the pre-orders are expected to DOUBLE. 100 Copies of a game per store for pre-order only is a big deal.
