Gun Damage Distribution In Borderlands

Our crack statistics department decided to play around with the data from the Gunopedia, which now includes over 300 guns found in Borderlands by you. They looked at the distribution of gun values and plotted it as a histogram. The result is above.
What does it show? Not surprisingly, the most common guns are weak and have a damage less than 100. Guns with higher damages are rarer. The dropoff is especially apparent with gun damages greater than 400.
After that, the guns of any damage are rare. Above 1000, they are extremely rare. They're as hard to find as a demo console at Gamestop without half a dozen 12-year olds mashing on the joysticks. (The stat department lumped these values together so they wouldn't stretch out the chart).
They do exist though. The most powerful gun in the Gunopedia without multipliers and with picture proof has a damage of 1899.
Anything in the chart come as surprise to you guys?

Wow, I was surprised by the frequency of the lower damage guns. Then again, people aflutter with anticipation for the game probably reported every gun they found in the first 10 minutes, so...
