This might seem like a really noobish question, and it is. But anywho, I've gotten to level 37 with my Siren, and I realized something. I don't understand one thing about the weapon stats. I get the whole multiplier and everything, but at the bottom, where the red text goes, it says stuff like "+ 10% damage." Does that add on to what's up top? Like, I have a rocket that does 980 damage, and at the bottom it says + 100% damage. Does that mean that the rocket is actually doing 1960 damage?

Yes it does, as an exemple

Yes it does, as an exemple find a Sniper that has whatever critical hit bonuses and shoot a guy in the head you'll have your answer ;)

I disagree.  I have found

I disagree.  I have found that all the stats reflect what the gun already has.  Go to one of the mines like the lost cave and shoot a crystal stub to see what damage your gun does.  Try one with zero proficiency, you find that the gun does exactly the damage stated in the damage stat, the -30% or +30% will make no difference.

It seems that the +/- indicator is just telling you what the gun does over a baseline for a gun of that type.

Well, a cristal does not have

Well, a cristal does not have critical damages, so that's a factor for damages only, but on Craw my 1000 something damages  bessie does it at 5000/6000 damages...

Absolutly true
My Bessie hits damage of 6000- 7000 at times with certain sniper mod 9000+ but only with a critical hit that is the Main Factor otherwise the default damage is all you get

Partial agreement
Agreed. There is some useful information like extra melee or critical damage or recoil etc. that is good to know but the question was: Does the +100% damage stat on a gun reflect in the damage? In other words if you have a pistol and you have zero proficiency in it and are wearing no mods and it says that it does 790 damage then below it says +100% damage, it will not do 1580 in damage. It will do what is says in the damage stat... 790. It is very confusing and unnecessary info to put in the stat box. I had a masher that said -55% damage so I tossed it. Turns out that it would have been a great gun if I had ignored that info and just looked at the damage info.

still confusing

It's still a little confusing weather it works or not and that we actually need a gearbox employee or somebody who actually knows about this stuff to tell us what it exactly does!
