Hello! New to the forums and i have some Borderlands questions :]

Hello!
First off iv done alot of searching for the questions im about to ask and some of them have been somewhat answered but im looking for more specifics, if thats possible.
I'm getting this game for the ps3. Me and my girlfriend are looking for games we can both play together and im interested in this game because it has split screen co-op. I'v been disapointed with alot of ps3 games iv bought that have "co-op" that falls really short. What im wondering is...
1) Does it have split screen campaign co-op? Or is it sepereate "missions" or something.
2) Can you split screen and play online?
3) Will i be able to use the same character? What i mean is...the character i use to play split screen with my girlfriend, will i be able to play that character online with other players aswell?
4)Will the 2nd player be able to save a character and will thier progress be saved, like your main? Iv had a few games where iv played split screen with my girlfriend, go to play the next day and all her progress (like her level, items and basicly everything) are gone and dont save.
Might be asking too much since this game isnt even released yet, but im really looking forward to it and have my figers crossed this might be what im hoping for. Any info is appreciated and thanks in advance!

1 split screen is the same
1 split screen is the same as regular mode in terms of campaign
2 Nope, it has been confirmed that you cannot split screen and go online at the same time. (they said they had networking problems)
3. Yes, your character is "persistent" and you will be using the same ones that you use for everything else
4 Yes she will be able to save her stuff. She will actually have to make a character and after she does that she could play solo or split screen with another character on that xbox and both characters will be persistent so you can take either of them online individually.

Yes but each player has to be signed in on a differant profile, if u start a coop campaign and one person is signed in and the other is guest, the person who signed as a guest will not have their character level or items saved.
1. It has split screen co-op, You Just play the normal story but splitscreen.
2. You cant split screen online if say, 1 person is player 2 but is at a different house. (they can play online, just not splitscreen).
Idk if you can play online splitscreen if your both at the same house. I assume you can...
