I guess this is enough to get me to un-lurk.
Giantbomb.com is featuring a contest this week to take two of its community memebers with Brad shoemaker to Gearbox to play Borderlands for an afternoon.

You just have to go, comment on the story (its how they run contests for some reason), and be able to get your but to the Dallas area by Friday.
I'm out, as that's like a 20 hour drive....

Edit: well i guess i can't go, i can' afford the 200dollar bus fare, or the 189$ in gas if i were to drive, o well. im actually really sad now, i wont get to meet randy and them, and i wont get to play borderlands

Howdy fellow prisoner of commie IL, I down south in Bloomington-Normal. Only cost me $80-100 in gas if not cheaper.

if it would be $80 i might give it a try, but from lansing (just south of chicago) it would cost 200 on greyhound and about 189 in gas, :(

Whoever gets to go to this are a couple of lucky bastards. One, Giant Bomb is awesome, and two, it's fucking BORDERLANDS. That would be the ultimate afternoon.
I live in northern IL as well, and it's really not paying off at times like these.
