How To Choose Weapons With A Full Inventory

Letting go is hard to do.

In Borderlands, the most painstaking choice you might ever face comes after finding a sweet weapon with a full inventory. 

We shout "ARGGGGHHH!" (Yes, sort of like a pirate. But like a really frustrated one). 

So here's a guide to help you choose which guns are the keepers.

Mission Type 

You should pick guns that will help you complete your mission. Elemental guns are better to ward off foes such as skags (fire), lance soldiers (corrosive), and shielded bandits (shock). 

Co-Op Or Lone Wolf

If you're going to be primarily soloing with your character, make sure your inventory covers all the bases. You're the only one looking out for yourself so make sure you've got a gun for each occasion. If you're going to be playing co-op heavily, you can count on your teammates bringing different guns with different strengths to your next firefight.

Character Type

Always remember which guns your character is comfortable shooting and you’ll be as right as rain.  For instance, Lilith loves elemental guns (shock, corrosive).  Brick prefers an explosive gun.  Mordecai is well known for his sniper engagement, while Roland gets it on with rifles and shotguns.

Playing Favorites 

This last tip is more about yourself than anything else.  Some like using shotguns because they’re the “up-close-and-personal” type. Like your distance? Try a sniper rifle. Of for the classier Pandora sociopath, try a revolver.
