Didn't see this issue posted so I guess I am the only one.

Friend just got the game and has tried inviting me to the game several times. I get his invite, select join but just times out. I can see him in my friends list but next to "Joinable" it says no. Has anybody else had this issue and what was your fix?

its simple, he didnt post the game as public he posted it private. either you start your own and invite him through invitefriends{host public game} or its just private game...   Do you have ps3?

Yea I forgot to mention this

Yea I forgot to mention this was on PS3. I can't remember if we tried that last night, I just know that we tried several ways to invite each other and would get the invites but it would never connect. We can try this tonight.

EDIT: I did find some stuff on the web about people having to open ports on their router, anyone else have to do this to make it work?

Solution

Ok so I found the solution to my situation and my friend did this as well just incase.

Open these ports on your router and port forward them to your PS3, also go ahead and assign a static IP to your PS3 that way you won't have to keep changing the forward:

7777

28900

27900

28910

28902

When it comes to the protocol I just stated them all as both. Also in my case my ISP blocks all forwarding ports in/out of the modem so I had to put my DSL modem in bridged mode to make this work.

Hapypy killing all!!
