Looking For Forum Moderator, Wiki Keeper
As you've probably noticed, this site is growing (1,090 members and counting). We could use some more help keeping things organized. In particular, we could use volunteers for these positions. In return, you'll get a fancy schmancy badge under your name.
Forum Moderator
RockabillyRocket is already doing a fine job with this and another long-time community member is going to become the second but we could use a third. This person will help keep the forums in order by deleting duplicate posts, answering questions, locking threads in the rare cases that is needed, etc.
Wiki Keeper
The Borderlands Guide wiki is growing too. Since this can be edited by anyone, I would like to designate an official editor to look after it. This person should enjoy poking around the Wiki regularly, fixing mistakes, adding new info when he finds it and explaining to others how to contribute.
How To Apply
Send me an e-mail using the "Contact" button at the top of the page. Make sure to tell me your site username because I don't know who you are just from your e-mail address. Also be sure to let me know which position you're interested in. In a quick paragraph also please let me know why you would like to help and what times you're typically on the site.
How The Positions Will Be Filled
Post count and length of membership will be important because that tells us that you've been coming to the site for a while. If you haven't been picked don't worry, you'll have more experience under your belt the next time we need people. I'll get back to people by Monday.
Have a good weekend.
Maybe that links list should be part of the Wiki?
Ill apply to be a forum mod. im good at answerin questions ect. but ill send in teh app. prolly 2morrow gotta see Inglorous Basterds ^>^
btw ima use Roland and pwn everything w/ mi Boomstick
Didn't even consider that. I'll take a look at it in a bit, doing some other research right now.
Glad I could help. : )
Hey Borderlands Guide. I would gladly like to become a Wiki keeper because I am always searching for new information regarding Borderlands or any futuristic FPS and/or RPG. I personally think i would be a good mod because I've watched every interview or demo of Borderlands out there on the internet so I know almost all the facts and false facts about Borderlands. I'm social person and i know how to help people contribute information to the site whenever find some. I am usually on about everyday but always on at night. School starts for me on Sep. 8 so it might be a little hard to get on but I'll try as hard as I can. I know I don't post much on the site and I don't know why haha, but I'll surely start now.
Username: ItalianGerman
P.S. the CAPTCHA wasn't working for me some reason so I just copied and paste if thats fine with you
id rather have someone do it that ive actually seen contribute to the forum in some way. people that never post, never help answer questions, never do anything but lurk.. dunno if those are the best people to have as mods.
thats why I want to be a wiki keeper =) haha jk
But I totally agree with you. I know I don't post much and I should really start
honostly i dont post much b/c i dont see teh need to, I check teh site on a almost daily basis and on top of that i hav an almost archival memory in general but am particulary good w/ video games; in regards to taking questions i dont like to anwser w/ speculation alone which is why i avoid doing so however w/ the game close to release alot of information is becoming solidified in which case i can put my talents to better use. I will post more as time goes on and i will more than prove mi worth n talents once teh game comes out so i can explore for mi self n get some solid intel... sides with atleast two other mods. its not entirely necessary to make alota posts, well not as necessary as preforming the other duties asa mod. which require u to comb teh forums ona regular basis however this is all hearsay unless Border picks me to preform teh affromented duties. I personally feel up to teh challenge and would like to take a more active role on this site b/c Borderlands is uberpwnge idc wat ne1 says lol
oh n btw Inglourious Basterds was awesome n I recomend it to any Tarantino fan
Actually, I've seen Italiangerman give some good info a couple of times. I don't know much about wiki keeping, though. Hence me not applying for that mod job.

I would be applying... College is starting up in 10 days for me, and I'm spending most of my time getting ready for that.
When it hits, I'll probably mostly/completely dissapear off the internert scene for a bit, and then gradually come back to bits and pieces as I balance this semesters workload.
Chances are though, Since that'll be mid-September, I may just stop getting on altogether. The information is getting closer and closer to the point where I don't want to hear anymore. ( I like some surprises ya know?)
Chances are after I play the game through, I'd be willing to come back and update the crap out of the wiki if others havn't done so though.
Borderlands Guide: When the time does get hear that I stop frequenting the website, someone will need to maintain that links list. Any ideas?
