LvL 50 Loot?

Ok so I finished the 2nd Playthrough. I noticed that all the enemies in the high level areas are LvL 50 - 51 now, but for some reason i'm still getting Loot capped at LvL 48. I haven't seen anything higher then that?

Once you hit LvL 50 and finish the 2nd playthrough, Is Crimson Fastness still the best place to farm for loot?

This is just what I've heard.

I heard that normal weapons cap off at level 48 but the "alien" weapons can get to level 49, I'm not sure though.

Anywhere is possible to farm as Mordecai with a + to rare drops. If your not Mordecai then stick to the Crimson Fastness.

They dont cap at 48.

I have an unmodded level 49 alien wep. Found it myself.
