Message to all Modders

I find it extremely upsetting that this forum encourages modding. I am tired of you modders joining my game saying you have items for trade only to find out you have Non-Legit weapons that have been passed on from countless of players like an STD.
Modders (you know who you are) all fall into the same boat I wish to set a blaze. You are either A) an annoying child under the age of 15 running around like, "ZOMG LOOK I SHOOTZZZ 1029310293 ROCKETS N 1 Sh0T EvERYTinG!!!1" or B) a lazy douchebag that refuses to earn loot they can call their own. I don't care if the game developers didn't put in the gun of your dreams and I don't care if you make modded weapons that are "so-called" balanced. The bottom line is you should learn to play the game as it is and enjoy it.
Wait I'm not done yet keep reading....
I'm sure I'll run into you :) in the new DLC with your modded weapons because I know that you will never be able to beat the big tournamet legitamately.
The Mods will probably take this post down but :) it. You alone are responsible for this and you should be ashamed that your forum has turned into a cess pool of cheaters/hackers/:).

Yeah, I do like using the
Yeah, I do like using the super powerful guns, but only for fun, I still have my normal looted weapons that were good enough to take me trough the game. Im currently only using that one sniper I posted, because i couldnt find any good fire elemental snipers, and im only missing sniper and fire kill challenges, so put them both together and get bothchallenges at the same time.
Ofcourse when Im done playing with these guns I will switch to my normal guns and go kill some zombies.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately I think you're misinformed regarding what we have in our forums. Hopefully in the future you can be more considerate. I know I tend to be more careful when expressing my opinion on something. If you let your emotion get the best of you, well, the post ends up looking like yours. People tend to respect maturity and courtesy, and I'd encourage you to try that next time.
As for the modding, BLG has already answered pretty well.

I find it rather amusing whenever a board lists a specific sub-forum about one topic and in rides someone on their morally high horse shaking their finger at everyone and lecturing about the wrongs of said topic.
If you really don't like the topic, stay out of it. Period. All you're doing is making yourself look like a smug d-bag.

In a related story, I'm not a HUGE fan of modding either, but if people want to do it, I don't mind. The only time it changes the game is when you play online with people you don't know, which can easily be solved by only playing with people you know. It's like magic, except in the form of reason and logic.
Oh and btw, modding is different than cheating, and both are different from hacking. Don't just lump them all together.

Ok, I'll admit that I posted out of rage. However, I still stand by the fact that modding is ruining the overall Borderlands community.
Perhaps all the individuals here do respect other players by not running around with modded weapons one shotting everything. The issue here is that this forum encourages modding and there is no guarantee that other individuals that do not respect the BL community won't get their hands on modded weapons from individuals on this forum and exploit them. Additionally, most individuals won't be able to spot weapons crafted by individuals like Anthrax because they are "balanced." This creates an even bigger issue due to the fact that modded weapons are now unknowningly circulating in players inventory...All I ask is that you guys stop poisoning the well and play the game as intended.

You should tell that to everyone in the whole community because more than half will disagree with your false accusations and conclusions that make utterly no sense, due to the fact Modding is all over the gearbox forums and nobody cares!. This game was meant to be modded and usually all assholes with guns that do Bagillion Damage are Kicked from games. I hope you realize these facts and get them into your thick skull before you start pointing Fingers. Additionally I think the only person here who does not get it. Is You. Therefore... Goodnight.

well i have just started to
well i have just started to mod and yes i have completed the game legit and i have completed the zombie legit and i will also complete the tournaments legit. i mod because it is a 2nd hobby for me now and i enjoy the thrill of seeing a gun that kicks ass that i made. i am sorry if you do not think of it this way but just think, that not every 1 mods to cheat some do it for a hobby like myself and i enjoy it as i like playing with computers and there software as it opens up a new world of computing to me instead of just sitting around playing computer games so if you just want to play the game and not get involved with them aswell thats up to you but please dont think all modders are the same as they are not.

I think there's two ways to mod. One, you can mod ridiculously strong weapons, throw off the balance in co-op games, and ruin other people's experience.
Two, you can mod for the sake of creating something new and use the weapons respectfully. Don't pass them off as real and don't use them in multiplayer games if the other people you're playing with are trying to use a pure game. From what I've seen the people using this forum fall into the latter category.
As for banning, you're entitled to your opinion. Just don't toss around offensive slurs. I've replaced them in your above post.
