Overall I was very impressed with Borderlands especially because it came from a not so great game company, but I just wished they had included more remote areas and caves. I find the game to be fairly linear and that was my biggest dissapointment that and the bosses, when i first saw a video of borderlands it was Randy exploring a cave and I thought I remembered him saying something like how you can explore tons of caves and go loot hunting that was my main reason for buying the game, a never ending fun time with my friends raiding unknown caves and looting the hell outta them and fighting difficult enemies. I know it sounds like i'm ripping on borderlands, but I still very much love the game and continue to play it.

This is in no manner a Review, this just you telling what you think of a game you apparently didn't spend that much time on. When you say it is linear I think you take Borderlands for what it is not : An RPG, it has RPG element to it but the gameplay is defenetly FPS, therefore you could say the same thing (even worst) about COD or even Halo nonetheless they're really fun to play.
Even though there is not an awful lot of caves, island and so on and so forth you still play in a open world wich is quite big, if you add secondary quest, playthrough 1 & 2 and weapon farming (and I'm not speaking about the 3 DLC) you can compare its duration to a FF.
You didn't tell a word on the Weapon System, Menu, Skills, Bonuses Accessories etc etc...
How the search for weapon become interesting as you power up your character, skills that dramaticly change the character you start with.
How fun it is to play online with up to 3 partners in Coop. How disapointing the Arenas are...
The difficulty of the game is really well balanced and you can't move too fast on the quest.
For Bosses I agree many of them are disapointing but the overall humor of the game makes them fun to encounter.
All that to say that there is no pertinence in what your sayin', if you had develop your disagreament I would have understand, but to me it's just like "I don't like it."
