Just a quickee

Will my character have his guns I completed 1 with at the start of playthrough 2 or do I have to find new swag?

From what I understand, you

From what I understand, you keep your entire inventory, character progression, money.  You're just starting over so all the enemies are then at your current level, so the game stays fresh(i.e., every enemy will be your equal and drop better loot, rather than restricting you to the final areas of the game.)

aye you do keep everything

aye you do keep everything from the end of playthru 1 .. the interesting thing is that once u start playthrough 2 it's normally towards the end of the arid badlands that some greens and blues start to look very close to upgrades .. which is sad. still, having managed to acrue about 6 legendary weapons in the 1st playthru it doesn't matter to much. another thing about playthru 2, there's a lot more mobs, and different variations than you'll remember from the 1st playthru .. all of this means more loot, and more chances of decent stuff dropping. don't be surprised to regularly see blues and epics pretty early on in playthru 2.

When you get to playthrough 2

When you get to playthrough 2 the enemies are scaled to 30+.  This matches what a character SHOULD be at the end of round 1.  I'm midway into PT2 and I'm still using the shotgun, and sniper, that I used in the end of PT1.  I haven't seen anything extremely awesome in PT2 yet.  Except for a acid revolver with the inf. Ammo ability.  "Never Stop Shooting."

 After you beat playthrough

After you beat playthrough 2, enemies get bumped up to level 50+, but there is no playthrough 3.

CKT: You haven't found

CKT: You haven't found anything worthwhile?  Wow.  I replaced almost all of my purples with supremely built greens.  Now I'm back up to a solid stock of purples but jeez.  I couldn't imagine using my Playthrough 1 weapons at this point in Playthrough 2.

You keep everything you had

You keep everything you had before playthrough 2 when you go into playthrough 2... playthrough 1 and playthrough 2 are basicly exactly alike except for different lvls different names for enemies and higher weapon rates. There is no playthrough 3 everything just gets kicked up to 50 and new names are added on some creatures... badass monsters turn into superbad monster which are lvl 51.

3rd play?

Just a quick question for pokemaughan. I know that after play 2 they get bumped up to 50+, but what happens when you complete that play? Do you just rinse and repeat so to speak?

Well, once you beat

Well, once you beat playthrough two, it is just like as if you went back and played your first playthrough. You are where you were when you beat it. So all the quests you completed are still done, and you can't go back and do them. You can beat quests you didn't do before, and you can go back and fight all the bosses again, except the final boss. All enemies will be at least level 48, most are 50 and badasses 51. All weapon drops and chests are 48, except Eridians, which are 49 out of chests. This means you will always find the highest level equipment, but this also means theres less variety in what drops. I cannot tell you how many of the exact same fry and machine pistols that have dropped for me, but then the rares are also that much nicer. Also, you can go back to any boss and get there weapon at  level 48: I got a 48: Clipper, Boneheads gun, Boomstick, Sledges shotgun, + others. Not that there much better, but i think its pretty cool...

Hi fellow borderlands freaks.

Hi fellow borderlands freaks. I have stumbled upon quite the prediciment folks. I have completed my first playthrough, and I was almost about to complete my second playthrough as well. There was however a huge mistake on my part, and I believe I have found a devistating glitch that refuses to let my character to progress any further. The last three quests that were next on my list to tackle cannot ever be completed because of this glitch or whatever I may be doing wrong. This is what happened. Before setting out to conquer the "Find Steele" mission, I decided to stop at "The Descent" on the way to pick up the first 2 red chests at the begining of the area. I continued over saving and exiting after looting the 2 red chests over and over again, because this area is rarer than any other in the game that by my own personal account. Anyways, I would sometimes go and loot "New Haven" also. Then by a freak accident I unintentionally warped myself to the "Vault" through the RESPEC - warp point. Surprised, I freaked out when I arrived to be staring at the "Destroyer" end - Boss and quickly pressed START and EXIT to end the game. When I regathered myself I reloaded my save expecting to face the last boss "The Destroyer" and complete the last 3 missions and return to Tannis to turn them in to end my 2nd playthrough. To my supprise there was nobody there, no Boss, no Vault piece, Nothing! I'm shocked and a little furious with myself. Now I can't ever hope to battle level 50+ enemies. I am however level 50. Enemies on earlier areas are still level 30+. Later areas of the game such as "The Descent," provide anywhere from level 40 ish to 49 (Bad Ass only). The mission "Find Steele" is regestered as completed. However, the last 2 missions "Destroy the Destroyer" and "Bring Tannis the Vault Key" were never even posted at all completed or uncompleted. I have since tried to scower the "Vault area" for either the "Destroyer" or the "Vault Key." I have found neither. I have also gone to Tannis and tried to turn in the "Find Steele" mission that is still regestered as complete and says "Turn In." It won't even let me do that.

I'm super frustrated having invested so much into my character. Now it seems as though I'm doomed to be a level 50 character amongst level 30+ enemies. This means only substandard enemy level equalivent gear can be expected. I'm so bummed about it. Am I just making a simple mistake? What am I doing wrong. Please help me! If it is a glitch I urge others out there NEVER EXIT THE GAME DURING THE "DESTROYER" BOSS FIGHT.
