Towns...
I noticed that too, yet haven't seen a gun on a gameplay screen project out that far. I wonder...
Also, Brick's melee to the bandit's face looks pretty satisfying.
Now about the towns...I don't think every building will be accessible. It doesn't seem that way, nor does it seem necissary. Although I like the freedom Oblivion and such have given you with that, has it been said if Borderlands does the same?

Kinda seems like the Vault
Kinda seems like the Vault Boy, except that the robot is an actual integral part of the game/story where as Vault Boy was simply an animated icon.

Nice little addition. Seems like the article from which those caps came (especially the bit with the robot) was a tutorial. Also it is confirmed. They have a full day and night cycle (in real time to boot) complete with a full set of nocturnal enemies.
