Iam lvl 36 Tempest, just killed destroyer.

What is the max level you can reach? 50?

Where can I find more quests after I beat the game? Or am I just doomed to farming in the last level before the vault?

I have not played online yet.... is this the next step?

and lastly, my highest level weapon is a lvl 34 sniper rifle, where can I find higher level weapons? Or will the weapons level up that drop when I level up?

Thanks for your answers!!!

The max level is 50. There
The max level is 50. There are the claptrap rescue quests, and other side quests. Also, there are more quests included in the zombie island dlc. As for better weapons, start up playthrough 2 for harder enemies, better loot, and the same quests you finally just finished. Online play... Well after you beat playhrough 1 you have pretty muched experienced the whole single player so... It gets pretty fun with 4 people but it's really your preference. Happy Borderlandsing!

If you've "Destroyed the

If you've "Destroyed the Destroyer", then you've essentially completed the 1st playthrough.  For the Xbox console at least, on the bottom right hand side when you first load your character, you'll see playthrough 1 or playthrough 2 as an option (I imagine the same for PS3). You can toggle between the two.

Side missions are a must do, for the sake of leveling up....but adds to the general enjoyment of Borderlands.  Also don't forget about the Bounty Boards in New Haven and Rust Commons East (by the river and sewage zone).

Max lvl is 50 (for now)...hopefully they'll lift the cap soon (Gearbox, are you reading this???).

Happy Looting!

@shileba: If you want help,

@shileba: If you want help, you need to probably explain what you're having trouble with and use some proper grammar and spelling. "there is not way out or any thing"... Really?

Playthrough 2  is the same story and missions, but everything is leveled up. It's really not that complicated. You start the same way, in the same place, with exactly the same missions. The only difference is that you'll be at a higher level to start and you'll have all your old weapons.

@Xcorcyst: After you get to a certain point in Playthrough 2 (I don't remember exactly where), everything will become leveled to 50. All of the weapons you find will be level 48 (the highest requirement except for the alien weapons, which go up to 49).

The level cap is apparently going up in the next DLC, but I don't know what it's being raised to or when it's being released.

I've a bit of an issue which

I've a bit of an issue which really got me huh of the game! going to be as clear as possible.

1 was on the the last mission "find Steele" I crossed my way out throught out the premonitory thing reaching the vault, once with the cinematic that initiates the vault where Steele is at the end of it being killed by the beastie.. got all along up there, then closed my laptop and headed with my family outside.

2-once home, reopened Borderlands, resumed from the main menu and found myself with (-Steele found-) at the left side of objectives and then no Vault key found and that waypoint in the map was leading to a place not accessible (just behind where the beastie was or came out from). And since it says Steele found and asks me to go to that inaccessible place in the map just behind the Vaut actual gate, I might believe that ME closing the laptop at the time and reopening it stuck my game of the following facts:

The beastie got inside in (yet not killed yet)

The Vault key unrecovered and only having in hand half a mission of just ''steele found"

So any help down here, please. I'd appreciate. PS: At that time, I shut down my laptop (not properly) but cuting down the DC, as I was in a hurry.

ps2: Alternative-play online with someone who's around that plot and grab the "turn in" and the vault key out there yet, where can't I get supplied with appropriate online gamers at that specific mission? any section in this forum or elsewhere?

Playthrough 2 is a lot more challenging than 1

I thought it would be kind of boring having done all the missions and having to redo them but it is significantly more challenging once you are through the baby missions at the start, and you get better drops of course.  It's also good because instead of spending a lot of time focusing on 'how do I jump up there?' you can put your time into killing things and blowing them up :-)

Just in case anyone doesn't know this --

- you don't have to complete all the missions to get to Playthrough 2, just the main storyline

- don't get too worked up for the claptrap rescues -- most of them reward you with cheesy grenade mods etc. the 2nd time around, although occasionally you get a loot case

- don't forget to turn in the vault key to Tannis at the end of 1, before heading to two.  And remember you can fast travel out of the vault area; don't try to walk back up the Descent.
