Actualy I did read on the Borderlands Wiki that one guy found a Pearlescent Shield in there... Out of many who did Crawmerax.

I think its pretty confirmed
I think its pretty confirmed you can get pearls off quests and bosses in DLC3, like Athena's Wisdom, Ajax's spear, ect.

Athena's Wisdom and Ajax's Spear aren't pearl weapons though, only Purple.
But, you can get pearl weapons and shields off Non-Crablegs the Edible enemies. I know two folks who killed drifters and found their own Serpens MG pearl weapon. The advantage of fighting Crablegs is that he's farmable and drops a metric skag load of loot. Since Pearls typically drop 1 vs 66 Gold items, and Crabby drops usually 4 or 5 Golds... you're looking at a consistant ability to get a pearl (with a little luck) in 10 to 12 Crab Runs. And then there's the advantage that you got a metric skag load of OTHER stuff to play with too.

Pearlescent Shield
Hey guys, although im totally against excessive use of the "Armory" glitch i couldnt help but exploit it a few times. On my third attempt i came across a shield in the new rarity class, and i couldnt help but feel dissapointed with it. I shouldnt complain as there are many people who are still yet to find a pearlescent grade weapon / gear. I dont know how to upload images so il just put down the stats.

Well that's enough to say you can actually find pearlescent Item in the Armory, I've been more lucky in there than Crawmerax for now.

Ok so I just have 1 question, does the "Armory glitch" allow you to just farm the armory endlessly as long as you have one of the quests open that lets you enter it?

There hasn't been one confirmed report yet of any pearl weapons being found in the armory. As far as I am aware, Pearl weapons have only been found by killing Crawmerax.
