Questions about weapon stats

Hey guys,

I just had a few questions about weapon stats that I could not find anywhere else...

For damage what is the meaning of the blinking yellow multiplier?  For instance the damage on one of my weapons is labeled as 33 but a yellow x11 multiplier is blinking in its place.  Does that mean my damage is really 363?

I picked up a weapon labeled as 0.0% accuracy,,, Will i be able to hit anything?

Lastly I have a few weapons that have +2 projectiles fired as a stat modifier.  The magazine size is not abnormal, so what is it talking about?

Well the weapon you have is most likely a shotgun, it says 33x11 because each bullet can do 33 damage if it hits.

XD dont know about this, you'll have to test it out

It just shoots 2 more bullets.

The shotgun thing is really cool.  I have never seen damage from a spread weapon broken down like that before.  Im sure other games use similar calculation methods, but I have never seen it labeled in the stats that way.  It really opens up the possibilities.

I hav a weapon with zero

I hav a weapon with zero accuracy, basically u hav to be point blank to do damage because the bullets literally fly in every direction imaginable =P the reticule for these weapons is usually huge as is the damage stat  =) so just take the fight to the ennemy if you wonna use it =)

is the flashing yellow number

is the flashing yellow number the additional dmg u get from ur skill tree ?

about the dmg multiplier

hey my mate disagrees with the whole shotgun damage thing and he says that ther r smgs and rocket launchers with this multiplier. so wat does is the multiplier there for?

10000% burst fire count.

Hey guys. I got this shotgun when i killed sledge, that seem kinda kickass at first glance, but it has 0.0% accuracy. But. It have 10000% burst fire count. What does that mean? Is it worth to keep?

More please on weapons' attributes & skills

   Yeah, I wonder what "burst fire" means in general, on any weapon, and on Sledge's shotgun, what the 10000% means?

   Edited-in addition: OK, just found out in another post [so this is subject to that guy being correct] that "burst fire" means how many extra shots you get off with one squeeze of the trigger. So if a repeater says +100% Burst Fire, it means every time you fire, you're actually shooting two shots. If it says x500% then you're getting off 5 shots in one trigger-squeeze. I don't know if this Burst quality if affected by the num ber of rounds the weapon uses, i.e. if a gun has 10 ammo, and x500% Burst, does it use 5 rounds with every shot?Now as to Sledge's x10,000% shotgun, nobody seems to have an answer. It only has 2 ammo so obviously whatever that x10,000% means don't apply to that. Maybe it means 10,000% fulla shit!

   I'm going to look for this answer elsewhere, but while we're on weapon properties, I'd like to know what exactly does Accuracy affect, as well as Recoil Modifiers.

   Also, am I correct that you can only achieve a critical hit with a headshot? Or is it like most other games and a pure random chance? If so, does that chance go up when you have weapon attributes and/or skills that raise critical hit damage?

   Lastly, if you have a weapon that increases melee damage, does that add to any skills you have that do the same thing? In fact, I'd ask that of all weapon attributes and skill bonuses that do the same thing: do they add together?

   I bought the $20 strategy guide and if it mentions any of this anywhere, I sure can't find it!

Tell your mate to go shoot his 4x SMG at a wall and see how many bullets come out :)

Multiplier

Anyone have any new info on that multiplier that flashes next to weapon damage?  Does it really mean xN the damage or is it just when you get a critical hit???

The multiplier that flashes

The multiplier that flashes over the damage stat indicates how many projectiles the weapon fires with each pull of the trigger. so on shotguns, seeing as they fire 7-12 pellets per shot, each pellet is considered an individual projectile and has the damage stat attached to it.

I.e. if a shotgun has a damage stat of 100 x10, it means that the shotgun fires 10 pellets and each pellet is rated at 100 damage.
