Radar in Borderlands?

I was watching a set of videos from PAX someone pointed out to me by someone on this site, when I noticed in the fourth one that in the weapon he pulls out with the square scope looks like in the top right hand corner there is a radar. Kind of hard to tell though if it's just an added effect, like the decal that we've already seen on other scopes.
If you look real closely though, it looks like there's 3 other dots on the "radar" screen, and they seem to be moving a little.

well
i guess it could be a radar, and if it is thats a really good way to put a radar in the game having it on a scope so you can see around you when sniping, so noone jumps up from behind.

I was hoping it would be towards the bottom of the screen, thats where I'm used to looking from most FPS games.

I don't know about that ZERO...
I think it's the scope, not the gun, so you could get that scope on another weapon.

oh your right but i specificly said "...the chances of you getting that GUN are 1 in 17 million." but your right the chances of getting that scope are much higher proably only, 1 in 1 million :p

Well from what I've seen there's a Fallout 3 style compass at the bottom of the screen when not looking through a scope. I really do hope that's a radarscope as suggested. That's an awesome concept.

What is name of that smg in that video, I have revolver with that radar sight but i think i sold it out, should i go back and find it is it really so rare.

Its not that rare at all
It's actually quite easy to get a gun with that scope really if you've played borderlands enough. I tested out the radar and it's just for show unfortunately :( Wish it wasn't though; Hope that solves your question:)
