"Silver" Rare?

These silver items are also called pearl, pearlescent, or ivory weapons, and most people think they are just a glitch in the software code. These "silvers" as you put it are white colored, and as far as i can tell, the writing looks exactly the same as the white on commons.

they have one major difference, they always are placed at the top of your list, only among other "silvers", and they always have one of the red quotations. I have found three different models of these pearl or silver weapons. One is the SnS line of repeaters called the thanatos, its usually a pretty strong repeater with an extra long clip. Another is the Cyclopse, i think made by atlas, with a 3.2, extra long scope, and another is a hyperion pistolwith a 15-20 round clip, that when in scope mode has a full clip burst fire, it fire the entire clip in two seconds. All of these items are white in color, and you cant tell these drops apart from commons unless ur looking for the red writing. You have probably already encountered one of the pistols, i used to always ignore the boxes when 4 white pistols would pop up, but sometimes there not all common...

And Tyyl, i think they got the "Pearl" term for these from the first ever posted pick, at least that i saw. On this site somewhere, an guy who got the game early got one of these Pearl Cyclops, just like the pearl machine guns and snipers you see made by atlas. He had never seen these pearl prefix class weapons, saw that the gun wwas white, the naming was white, and that it was above gold, so he said "Hey guys, i think i found a weapon rarer than gold, i think its a pearl class weapon!" Well They are not all pearl cyclopses, casue i found one thats just a ggn sniper, not really all that great for its level, these silvers never are, usually stats like a yellow legendary. Most on the official gearbox site think this is just a glitch in the games code, that the parts in the gun make an error in the color coding, and since they have to be place somewhere, they are placed on top. Those forums have been arguing about this issue sinnce before the game came out, and still there has been no reply from gearbox. Some like to think its super special, and others think gearbox made a mistake, but want us to think they are super special, so they don't comment. Where it stands now, im not sure we'll ever know...

 It's a glitch. White weapons with legendary bonuses. 

There is no color code, there are only seven rarities white<green<blue<purple<yellow<orange<dark orange, that's it. "Pearlescent" weapons are just legendary weapons that have been glitched to have their name be written in white, and that sit atop the dark oranges.

The pearl weapons are absolutely no glitch for I found a gun that does all of the damage types (fire, electric, acid and explosive) and it totally is ment to be above a dark orange rarity. This pistol is

 EDIT; Also for got to mention a few things that you can read off the gun. Shoots all 41 bullets in full auto and you cant stop firing till the clip runs out, also does revolver ammo regen too.
