6 Things To Do After You've Beaten Borderlands

You've beaten Borderlands. You've plowed through the storyline twice over and there's not a lot left. You've (anti)climactically discovered The Vault.

Now what? There isn't any more plot to be followed, so what does a mercenary do to avoid putting Borderlands back on the shelf? Luckily, I've been there for quite some time, and I've had many spare moments to ponder that very question. Here is a helpful list of things to do in Pandora to extend the life of your game:

Hyperion Evil Nidhogg1. Hunt for better guns

Yes, you've got some pretty nice firepower in your inventory. But you don't have the best. Go out and look for a 2500+ damage rocket launcher, or that perfect Atlas Chimera. Don't forget you can fight bosses again, too! And don't get me started on collecting...

2. Experiment with the skill tree

Once you've reached level 50, you have full reign over your skill set. You can be a supporter, a PvP buff, a soloist- there are plenty of options to make the unique "you".

3. Finish all the quests

There are loads of quests to be found about Pandora. Add in the second playthrough, and you've got a lot of work to do. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent doing only the side quests.

4. Play online

This one might be obvious, but this game is far better with other people (especially friends!). Get in on some duels, or head over to the arena. It's a lot of fun.

5. Run through Playthrough 1 With Your Leveled Up Character

Now that you're topped out, Playthough 1 becomes a comical breeze. It's like a missile blasting through tissue paper. Watch as even the slightest sneeze vaporizes those pesky bandits. New Haven becomes a shooting gallery and old challenges are now senselessly easy. Sit back and enjoy your power!

6. Make another character

Sure, you've got a maxed out Hunter, but what about the other 3 classes? You've probably been playing so long you don't even remember the thrill of finding a great gun or finally reaching level 20.

So there you have it. Eventually we might graduate to playing Borderlands 2 or (shudder) an entirely different game, but for now there's plenty of replayability to squeeze out of Borderlands.

The closest thing to an

The closest thing to an elemental Eridian weapon that exists: some of them do shock damage. There's no way to tell until you use it. The highest level for Eridian weapons is 49. Just to elaborate on pokemaughan's comment.
