Ok, so I just beat the game and killed the last boss which was really easy (just like the rest of the game).

I was really disappointed I couldnt actually go in the vault, I wish they just spent 3 more months making it to make a nice vault mission and more variety in monsters :( and stufff. Overall definetly worth the $60 but I get a feeling its missing a few things.

Maybe they will release the vault as an update or something but this is quite disappointing :(

Definitly dissapointing

Not only was not being able to go into the Vault dissapointing, but the final boss

He wasn't even hard like the first time I fought Sledge, he was just one really big bullet sponge spawn of Cthulhu

another fail was the very limited customization of the vehicles

He is very difficult if you

He is very difficult if you aren't prepared actually. If you fight him on new game +, i hear he is 5x harder even when you cap. I honestly don't care if there was going to be car customization or not either cuz the game is mostly focused on guns and foot combat so cars are mostly used to get from one place to another with ease and when you unlock fast travel, it cuts it's use in half. I also don't mind that you don't go into the vault cause if you think about it, it would probably take all the discovery out of the game that Gearbox has been aiming for. I think all these complaints are so easy to overlook and barely take away from a near perfect game in my opinion. Also if you hate the last boss difficulty just fight him on co-op, much harder obviously.

I wish that atleast one of the bosses was hard, the hardest part of the game for me was the first time I went to put out the smoke signals in old haven, that was kinda hard...

 Just finished it.  I was

Just finished it.  I was pretty disappointed that i couldn't go into the vault but on another forum i think they got the reason why.  The name on the satallite in the last movie was another gun brand and they set you up to make sure ATLAS couldn't get the technology.  Non the less, im disappointed that im not running around with an alien revolver at the moment.  And im almost finished the achievments so i have little reason to play anymore. :-(

None of the people that are

None of the people that are posting in this topic must have not played the second playthrough yet. Because if they wan't a challenge they need to play playthrough 2. the skags are harder than most of the bosses in the first playthrough. and also i was not really disappointed with the ending, and that you can't go into the vault because, for 1 alien guns sucks ( at least i think so). and then there is no point for most people to playthrough again because they would have all the best stuff already. Also you got to expect the unexpected when it comes to an alien boss, i was thinking it would be more like a giant vault guardian but its an alien what can you expect. I am not ganna say they game sucks because the ending, its like that other guy posted, its about loot and foot combat. To add its also about having fun with friends. But the main thing is if it wasn't hard enough for anyone, play through again trust me the challenge will be CRAZY!!!!!!

Playthrough 2

The ending was disappointing...  The vault just has a giant vagina monster in it, the "guardian angel" is just a claptrap satellite, and now the villain for 2 has been declared as an evil claptrap ninja of doom.  That last part is merely speculation but possibly one of the best parts of the ending as a whole.

About playthrough 2:  It WAS a lot more challenging until I figured this out.  Element > Raw ALL THE TIME.  Get a good corrosive or fire gun and those skags, and most other enemies, will go down like nothing.  Don't even worry about the damage it does as long as it's decent at best, a level 2+ element on a gun goes much further.  I'm kind of torn on Shock and Explosive though.  Shock is only good until their shield is down and then it kind of loses it's punch, explosive is nice but it's not a DoT like Fire and Corrosive.

Yeah, I was like... "Wait,

Yeah, I was like... "Wait, that's it?!? WTF?" when I beat the game with a friend. Seriously, sucky boss. He just sits there, and shoots you with missile spikes and swipes and that's it. And no Legendary PHAT LEWT! I felt ripped off. I was like... "What a Jip!?!"

That whole last section of the game is a Corrosive & Electric field day. Aliens have super kick ass shields but they fall down quick afterwards. Endgame, you want Corrosive (for the Lance) and Electric (for the aliens).

I actually really liked the

I actually really liked the ending.

1. Why would you want to go into the Vault anyway? It's not a weapons bunker, it's supposed to hold alien technology, which human corporations use to reverse engineer and recreate it.

2. The whole 'Gaurdian angel' actually basically being a corporate saboteur was hilarious in my view

3. Tha last part of the game had great pacing (IMO), from the Salt Flats on was my favorite part of the game

4. I was a little disappointed in the last boss and it's lack of drops, but I felt that it was fitting.

I remember watching a live stream of someone who got the game early and when asked what was in the Vault he said 'the credits' so I thought once you open the Vault the credits would roll, and I was fine with that because what's in the Vault, even though it is the purpose of the game to get it, would really serve the player no purpose.

Also, on my first playthrough I didn't read any quest text and basically ran through the gam so that on the second playthrough I'm now reading everything and it feels kinda like a new experience, I would  advise that to anybody else who plans to level to 50 also.

Well, considering that the

Well, considering that the Vault was supposed to contain PHAT LEWTS, the least they could have done was given us some halfway decent equipment. Like when you beat Diablo in Diablo 2, that idiot dropped a metric boatload of equipment and you had 30 seconds to scoop up as much as you could carry before you got kicked to the beginning of the game.

And it was a Hyperion satellite, but that doesn't explain why Hyperion would know about the giant monster boss. And why go through the trouble of getting the key for the vault to open it just to close it again, or is this one of those "Oh, you need the key to CLOSE it, because it's going to open no matter what and C'thulu is going to come out and eat everyone's brains on Pandora. I say we nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

But anyways, that doesn't mean I don't want a Borderlands 2. But I want BIG PHAT LEWTS from the last boss (just like the phat lewt you get from killing every other boss usually). Also, more aliens but not ones who require electric attacks to kill because seriously, I wish they'd been vulnerable to explosives instead.
