Went through entire game with level 3 weapon

I am wondering why on my first co-op playthrough (splitscreen) a skag whelp dropped a level 3 smg (common). I hadn't even fought sledge yet. with these stats
Name was something like Hellfire with a bunch of numbers n shit
damage 134
1.5 weapon zoom
4x fire
effective against flesh
fire rate 12.5
damage +45%

I guess it's possible to find a legendary at that low of a level, guess you are just lucky.

I'm calling shenanigans. Combustion Hellfires are at least Orange in color, and the damage is higher than than most level 40+ SMGs. I'm thinking it's probably a hacked/modded gun.

He said it was on co-op splitscreen... and it dropped from a skag whelp... couldnt be a modded weapon.
Anyway thats pretty crazy... ive been using an SMG since like level 20 and im on my second play through. im not sure what the name was but it had...

98 clip (with my mod that gives 65% mag size and my skill points in mag size its 148)
who needs accuracey with a clip and fire rate like that?

whatcha mean Salem? hellfires sometimes have 155 dmg and 12.5 rof, (that is the highest I've seen)

RG: It's Salen... with an 'n'. And yes, Combustion Hellfires can have 155 damage and a good ROF, but not at LEVEL... Freakin... 3!
When most Combustions start showing up... around level 20+ on average, the damage maybe about 40 to 60 Damage.
But if you expect me to believe that someone has a Lvl 3 Hellfire that does 155 damage, and ROF of 12.5, I'm calling Modder's Shenanigans.

no video or screenshots provided we assume its a modded or lied about gun because no gun is like that at lvl 3 on first playthrough even if its co-op.

took me over 2 months of constant farming to get my current 153 damage, 91 accuracy and 12.5 ROF hellfire and i have as yet not come across anything more powerful then that since. Now your telling me at level 50 on playthrough 2.5 took me 2 months to get my gun and it took a level 3 shooting a skag in Fyrestone to get something similar??? I find this hard to believe
Consider yourself very fortunate. =]
I went from lvl 22-40 with an awesome machine gun, did 100+ dmg, 10 fire rate, and 90-something accuracy, with a very nice sized clip. The thing was just ungodly awesome. I passed it on to a buddy for his soldier.
Kudos on your find, certainly can't complain about having a good weapon as a mainstay.
