But be Patient, if You're Lvl 50 you should farm New Heaven and find couple of 1400 capacity, the 1600 are rare and the Bigest one I found was in Generaly Hospital (Dr Ned) in a vending machine, 1800 something ("Ultimate Capacity") over 2000 hours of Borderlands so just to tell you how rare those shields are... I wouldn't be surprise than a 2000 something capacity can be found.

The dev chest is in Rust
The dev chest is in Rust Commons West, at the north-western corner of the map underneath a turret tower. The only way to get back up without killing yourself or quitting your game is to drive. My best shields have all come from farming New Haven, though. My current shield is a Panacea (quick health regen) w/ 1526 cap. and 186 recharge. I actually bought it from the vendor in New Haven. The highest capacity I've ever seen was 1834, but I'm sure there are higher ones.

i have a 1932 shield with overcharge which means it charges very quick. Not a pancea so no health regen.

If you can not find anything to suit your needs from mob drops or ordinary chests, i reccomend the 'developers chest' I cant remember the name of the area, but if you dont know where it is look it up. It usually contains slightly better equipment. Class mods and shields are fairly common here
