Bo Jackson's Hit and Run!
Can't remember if it was my absolute first, but it's the first I really remember. It was called Bo Jackson's Hit and Run! Baseball and Football.
As you would have guessed, the cartridge had both a baseball and football game. Both were pretty bad but I still played it a lot.

Mario for me, as well. My dad played a lot of Nintendo when I was little, so I got into at when I was about 1 year old and really started comprehending it when I was 2. Though we had a few other games, Mario is what I remember most vividly.

I was so young... I don't really remember. I THINK it was something for NES, but it might have been pacman or something at a friends house...
If my first game experiance was NES it was probably mario :P
That being said, I remember playing altered beast, double dragon, Oregon Trail, math rabbit or something like that, a general tonne of classic PC games as well... of course pacman, asteroids, and pong were around at chucky cheeses... Seriously, I can't remember.
My very first game was Super Mario Bros. The one on the original NES......it was a combo cartrigde that had Duck Hunt on it.
