When will Borderlands go Gold?

On the front page of Gearboxity.com, Gearbox has posted a ticker for the amount of work items needed to be completed before Borderlands can be considered "gold".
Little note: At the time of this post, there were 666 work items remaining. :P
Update: The number is now down to 510 work items remaining. Looks like Gearbox is working quickly to finish Borderlands!
Update 2: The number of work items remaining is down to 225 as of Saturday, September 12.
