Mikey Neumann's Preorder Promise
Gearbox might be the first game developer in history to actually get busier after their game comes out.
Last Sunday Gearbox's creative director Mikey Neumann promised to play with anybody who sent him evidence of pre-ordering the game that day. The response was overwhelming as sites like Kotaku picked up the offer and spread the word.
Despite the work this will entail, Neumann told Kotaku he's sticking by the offer.
With more than 200 people owed playtime and loot, Neumann has enlisted some of his Gearbox colleagues to help bear the load. And though on Monday in the office "a couple people gave me shit," in a good-natured way, Neumann's happy to spend a few extra days playing Borderlands if it means spreading word about his game, a new IP fighting for airtime among sequels in a blockbuster-release season.
Want to hear the coolest thing? A Borderlands Guide community member is at the top of the list. If you look closely, you can see Saber Wookie first in line.

He said that when it was pre-released on STEAM, he'd be taking them again. I pre-ordered earlier today and sent a screen to him. He hasn't updated his twitter yet, So I'm not sure, but hoping I'll be on it.

This is just so full of win and awesome- that's the kind of support you get from a company that cares and is proud of their product.
Not on the list, but I may need to steal an achievement from someone.

Now I'm trying to decide if it's even worth getting on the list. There's at LEAST 200-250 people in line w/o the STEAM accounts.
This goes together nicely with that one achievement for playing with a GB employee or someone with the achievement.
