Tune In: Borderlands On G4 Sept. 28 and 30
Here's a chance to finally see Borderlands on your own TV screen (although not actually play it). The game will be making a special two-day appearance on G4's X-Play on September 28th and 30th.
Even more tantalizing is the promise of a goodie. X-Play if offering up a lucky winner an "ultra-rare version" of the game. Maybe it comes with a real Claptrap who will make you sandwiches while you play?
You might recall that Gearbox showed off its game on G4 back in July and we got some decent looks at the gameplay. Hopefully we'll get some more.
Thanks to Necrogen for pointing this out first on the forums.

can u watch it online?
Yeah, I think they usually post a video of it online and we'll be sure to get it up on the site.
cool ill be able to watch it on my birthday =D
Woot! X-play rocks
I absolutely despise G4 now, but definitely have to see this sometime.
does anyone know what time these will be on EST (eastern)??
Well, it looks like I'm becoming "that guy that ruins good things," because based on my read of the G4 post referred to in Necrogen's post, the "ultra-rare version" prize isn't a version of Borderlands, it's a version of Uncharted 2. I've copied G4's blurb below.
"Do you remember E3, and how you saw all these amazing games that you wished with all of your heart would be coming out the next day, and then saw the release dates and thought, "How am I ever going to make it to Fall?" Well, Fall is here, dear Feed reader, and the game that X-Play deemed best of show for E3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, will finally be released on October 13th.
In anticipation of that event, X-Play has an Uncharted 2: Among Thieves special airing this coming Tuesday, September 22nd, at 6:30 PM ET. Adam and Morgan head to Naughty Dog to get an in-depth look at the game, including a look at the epic single player campaign, a breakdown of the co-op and competitive multiplayer modes, and a look at what it takes to design the game's intricate puzzles. And for more bonus coverage including walkthroughs and tips for seven multiplayer maps, be sure to check out our Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Video Center!
Plus, X-Play gives you a chance to win an ultra-rare version of the game that's not yet in stores. It's all part of X-Play's chock-full Fall gaming specials, which also includes a look at Borderlands, Sept. 28th and 30th, Brutal Legend Oct. 1, and a run through the Tokyo Game Show Oct. 5th, 6th, and 7th. You won't want to miss a thing!"
Borderlands is just a side-story, here. I think "the game" they're referring to is actually Uncharted 2.
EDIT: Credit goes to Maxpat to noticing this first. See his nearly identical post below Necrogen's.
Yes it is, and I gave the source so that people could look it up. I've never actually claimed anything about a special Borderlands version. Sorry if it caused any confusion.
Of course Borderlands is a side story. It's not a sequil. Sadly, even with all of the hype, I don't think it will get the recognition it deserves until people get REAL hands on time with it (like 30+ hr. marathon sessions kinds of hands-on time). I'm thinking that Borderlands will be popularily categorized as a "Sleeper Hit" which tends to happen to new I.P.'s in genres that are defined by one or two franchises (I.E. Elder Scrolls, and Call of Duty). The same thing happened with Crackdown and GTA. Crackdown was a good game, but it didn't really get recognition until it got out to the public. It would be awesome if Gearbox could score some major beta or demo to ship with the game. That would get the game into people's hands and show them how great it is.
Yea ive already classified it as a sleeper 2 and so did the people at gamestop i pre ordered it from.
Though i dont know how much they knew about video games, enough to know that borderlands was going to be a hit at least.
Hopefully a week before or sooner a demo comes out, it would help pass the time if they are already starting to make DLC for the game then i think they have time to make a quick demo.
hell yeah
yeah, this is a big problem here. every time I go to gamestop I talk to someone who has never head of borderlands, and so far, I've never heard any of them show disintrest once I explained it. it's always "OH MY GOD why have I never heard of this?" we need to do some srt of public awareness drive for this game~!
lol public awareness drive for an epic game? hmm it would have to be one epic drive like coast to coast flags on cars and motorcycles and stuff yea sounds about right
Who knows what time this is on for west usa !!!!WOOT USA !!!!!!!?
does anyone know of a site that will be streaming this?
