Honestly, it really doesn't effect me. This is the first forum I've ever been a part of and to me they hold nearly no value, but they might be cool to have just because it lets people know how compatible they are with you. Your signature can really tell a lot about you by showing everyone how you perceive your own personality. People probably dont really think about it like that, but i do.
im ok with them as long as they aren't distracting or crowd the page. 50 characters should be enough to bring a point across without drstraction or crowding the page.

The argument for allowing
The argument for allowing signatures is that they would allow people to better express themselves or show off some of their personality.
The argument against them is that they can be distracting.
