Release Date

It's September 30, a day before October.  In less than a month, Borderlands will be released.

Can we please have a countdown counter or the like at the Guide's homepage, ticking off the days until the various releases? :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

You finally have a date to circle on your calendar.

Borderlands publisher 2K Games announced today they will launch the title in North America on October 20th. A release in  the UK, mainland Europe, Australia, and elsewhere will follow on October 23. Read more »

Following the Co-optimus link provided by Swift, I found the posted release on that site as June 30, 2009. Look at your calendars people. Remember when we saw that september release and it seemed plauseable cause of the tuesday release which the Game Stop employee said fit cause thats when all the new games came in? Well, June 30th is a tuesday, what do you guys think is the likelyhood? Im certainly hoping its for real, its a hell of alot closer then Halloween.

We’ve heard this before but they need to keep reassuring us because they’re being so quiet otherwise. Borderlands publisher 2K told CVG today that the game is still “on the radar” and will be ready for “later this year.”

Amusingly, the whole thing started when CVG reported that they had new Borderlands screenshots. They’re actually from last year.
